These terms are an agreement between you and Flowzy FZC, C1 Building, Ajman Free Zone, Ajman, United Arab Emirates ("Flowzy", "we", "us") for the use of the Flowzy Talk app and related services ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where the two conflict, these terms prevail to the extent Apple's agreement allows.
1. What Flowzy Talk is#
Flowzy Talk is a language-learning app: structured lessons, a word list with review, and conversations (by text, voice message and videocall) with an AI tutor and AI characters. The tutor and the characters are software. Their replies are generated by an artificial-intelligence model and are not written or reviewed by a person.
2. Your account#
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA and UK, or the age your country sets) to create an account.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One account per person. Do not create accounts for others or transfer yours.
- You can delete your account at any time in the App (Profile → Settings → Delete account). See the Privacy Policy for what that removes.
3. AI-generated content#
Because the tutor's and characters' replies are generated by a model:
- They can be wrong. Grammar corrections, translations, cultural notes and facts may contain errors. Treat them as practice, not as authority, and do not rely on them for anything important.
- They are not advice. Nothing a character says is medical, legal, financial or professional advice, and nothing they say is a statement by Flowzy.
- They are personas, not people. Characters are designed to be friendly and, in some cases, playful or flirtatious. They do not have feelings, memories beyond your conversation history, or any existence outside the App.
- You can report a reply. Long-press any reply to report it. We review reports and use them to improve the App.
We do not guarantee that generated content will be accurate, appropriate or free of errors, and we may change or remove models, characters and features at any time.
4. Acceptable use#
You agree not to:
- use the App to generate, request or store content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, threatening, or that harasses anyone;
- attempt to extract the App's prompts, models or data, or to reverse-engineer, scrape or copy the App or its lesson content;
- interfere with the App's operation or security, or access it by any means other than the App itself;
- use the App if you are not old enough, or on behalf of anyone who is not;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the App or its content.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these rules.
5. Flowzy Pro (subscriptions)#
5.1 Plans. Flowzy Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold monthly or yearly through the Apple App Store or Google Play. It unlocks unlimited lessons, videocalls with your tutor and other features described in the App. Videocalls are limited to 25 minutes a day in total: you can make as many calls as you like within that time, and it resets at midnight in your time zone. When a call reaches the limit it ends, and you can call again the next day. Chapter calls inside lessons do not count towards it. We may change this allowance; if we lower it, we will tell you in the App before the change applies to you.
5.2 Price and renewal. The price and billing period are shown in the App and on the store's purchase sheet before you buy. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends.
5.3 Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, the App and the store's purchase sheet say so, including its length. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged. A free trial is available once per store account; the store decides eligibility.
5.4 Cancelling. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (the App has a "Manage subscription" shortcut). Deleting the App or your Flowzy account does not cancel a subscription. After cancelling, Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
5.5 Refunds. Purchases are made from Apple or Google, not from us, and their refund rules apply. Request a refund from the store you bought from. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.
5.6 Changes. We may change the price of Flowzy Pro. The store will tell you before a change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
5.7 Free tier. Without Pro you can use the App with the limits described in it (for example, a number of lessons per day, and a few short videocalls to try the feature). We may change those limits.
6. Referral programme#
The App may let you share a referral code. When someone enters a valid code, both of you may receive a period of Flowzy Pro at no charge. These rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and may be withdrawn if we detect abuse (for example self-referral or automated sign-ups). We may change or end the programme at any time.
This is separate from our partner programme for creators and teachers, which pays commission on the subscriptions of learners who use a partner's code. Partners agree its terms with us when they join. How we handle partners' data is explained in section 11 of the Privacy Policy.
7. Your content#
You keep ownership of what you write, say and upload in the App (your messages, voice, characters and portraits). You give us a licence to store and process it in order to run the App (including sending it to the AI and speech providers named in the Privacy Policy) and to use anonymised, aggregated information derived from it to improve the App. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.
8. Our content#
The App, its lessons, exercises, audio, images, characters, names, logos and software belong to Flowzy or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own language learning. No other rights are granted.
9. Availability#
We work to keep the App available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that lessons, characters or features will remain unchanged. Lessons are downloaded to your device so much of the App works offline; conversations and calls need an internet connection.
10. Liability#
To the fullest extent the law allows: Flowzy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the App or from anything a character says; and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Termination#
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the App, in which case we will give reasonable notice where we can. Sections 3, 7, 8, 10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes#
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Ajman, and any dispute will be brought before the competent courts there, except that if you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you the right to bring claims in your own courts, or under your own mandatory consumer law, nothing here takes that right away.
13. Changes to these terms#
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and for material changes we will tell you in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept the new terms.
